If you want to see what analytic philosophy SHOULD be, try reading Eliezer Yudkowsky, Robin Hanson, Scott Alexander Siskind, and other x-rationalist writers. They cut through problems like "if a tree falls in a forest but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound" and "is alcoholism a disease" like a white-hot knife through butter.
