Ok, so I'm planning to reread the Iliad/Odyssey, Hamlet, and Dubliners/Portrait before I finally try to tackle Ulysses. Should I read the Bible as well, or are a passing knowledge and the New Bloomsday book enough to be able to enjoy it?

I know, I know, "read what you want," and I agree. I just don't want to try to read one of the most deliberately obtuse novels in the English language without having first equipped myself with the tools necessary to enjoy the experience.

Record yourself reading something. Language doesn't matter. Try to rate others.
