Anybody read "Please Sir!" by Frigyes Karinthy?
It's a quite funny book.
I liked it.Made me remember all the fun I had while I was young and attending elementary school, despite the book being almost a century old.
If you want to read it:

Please Sir! by Frigyes Karinthy (father of the guy who wrote Metropole). It's kind of obscure and I'm not sure its for everyone but its cute and I loved it. It's just the musings and thoughts of a teenage boy in Budapest circa 1913.

Added bonus, the first chapter is written in Joyce-style stream of consciousness, which I think you all like

It's short, like 40 pages long in print.
