It's a fetishization of childhood and a time when life was simpler. Also, because OP probably doesn't get laid a lot, this is associated heavily with women, or, teen girls, whom he remembers so fondly.

There really isn't a solution as those memories are, if not false, then never attainable because that heady, euphoria of childhood is dead and buried in the backyard unless you're the most insufferable of turbo-normie and living the dream far into early adulthood.

Anyway, unironically, some people are just gifted and live with their teenage sweetheart well into there twenties, and, for a time, I imagine that life is as a dream to them. Unfortunately for the rest of us, it's little more than that: a dream.

Source: caught the tail-end of teen 'love' and it was a fever dream while it lasted until it blows up and you end up even more jaded and nihilistically depressed, except without that goal of getting laid to 'motivate' or torment you.
