I'm trying to give The Night Land a chance, but this is the worst prose I've read this year, excluding garbage authors like Andrei Tchaikovsky.
The very idea of setting out to describe an alien setting only by using names of things you can't really visualize is pretty stupid. The whole first 30 pages could have been 5 pages long. The whole romance and setting out The Night Land should have been heavily edited. Most of it is superfluous.
