I'm reading this right now and here are my thoughts (about half way done with tbe book):
>Caroline and Fred remind me of Leela and Fry from futurama which is killing my immersion and vibe because I keep laughing and reading their dialogue in the cartoony voices
>The premise of the book's intelligence taking over is awesome but severely ruined by Asimov's laws rotting their way into an otherwise cool scifi premise
>The death jocky stuff is pretty awesome and edgy which is fun, but a lot of it comes off as though I'm listening to a youtuber try and teach me about "the first guy to hit level 99 woodcutting in runescape" and the author pretends everyone in the universe cares about runescape
>Breaking the laws of physics and giving the AI ftl teleportation is retarded and further ruins the fun
otherwise the book is awesome and probably my 2nd favorite sci fi book so far.
