I just finished reading this after seeing it appear here. I liked it it was a bit slow but this and the general incomprehensible actions of the atevi really created a proper stressed atmosphere for the main character. I liked how humans and atevi fundamentally can not understand eachother and how misunderstanding and the fear of misunderstanding rule the interactions between them.
When I read it I didnt realise it was the first in a long series, can anyone recommend the next books?

ps: I read some goodreads reviews and its hilarious how easily people are filtered by such a clear narrative.
