The german hack hated Christianity but for his pseud-prophet Zarathustra, he just copied the rhetorical style of Jesus in the Gospels. Zarathustra even looks like Jesus in some illustrations. Why would I read the parody if I can read the original?

> in a letter to Overbeck, Nietzsche writes that his friend Heinrich von Stein is enough of a poet to be deeply affected by ‘The Other Dance-Song’ and has even learned it by heart: ‘For whoever is not compelled by precisely the serenity of Zarathustra to shed tears, such a one is still very far from my world, from me’

So, /lit/, did you cry at any point of Thus Spoke Zarathustra? Because Nietzsche is calling you a pseud if you didn't.

What fields would you need to master in order to be a renaissance man? Off the top of my head:
Mathematics
Computer Science
Physics
Chemistry

As well as several languages and being extremely well-read.
What else? And is it possible today?

A while ago some Iranian on here posted a cheeky thread saying to start with the Persians. Well I've unironically decided to do just that, bought a few books to help me learn to read and write Persian and I'd like to read them. What should I read? So far on the list I have the Cyropaedia and the Gathas.
