Anybody still this dramatic about the loss of cultural sincerity needs to get over themselves. Yes, we know that everyone consumes with cynicism these days, but they also have a deep, human desire for sincerity the same as you. People who watch bad movies do so in part because they're compelled by the poor craftsman filled with passion. Hipsters who cherish locally made goods do so in part because they love the dedication of an individual and feel it in their work. Wine snobs seek smaller and smaller vineyards and spend millions to go find that local who has a secret technique etc. etc. Anybody observant person will find that we all, individually, value sincerity and passion, even if we don't value it as much as a society. They're not all phonies, most of them really do care.
