Is Advaita Vedanta - Shakta Advaitavada, etc. etc. or anything which conforms to the true Brahma Vidya, there are also various Buddhist traditions which come infinitely closer to this supreme path, namely, Dzogchen, Chan/Zen and Chinul

Now if you want to take on any of these relative pathways they are really all the same in terms of being delusion and reinforcements of illusion so comparing them, Sufism, Catholicism is just an irrelevant activity for "people" like Guenon.

They can all take you to the same place, of ultimately transcending themselves, and taking you beyond their own particular form, that is their ends, whereas that is the beginning and means of the Supreme superior and pure jñāna mārga I touched on before - which tells you all you need to know.

At best Guenon was caught up in the psychic and energetic effects of various "techniques" taught by the lesser traditions, even for that there is tantra which totally subsumes this branch of knowledge which guenon could only piece together based on translations of Arthur Avalon and orientalists of the day, which is how he read all the authors really,
and amounts awakening "shakti" through activation of the muladhara, energetic transference etc. etc. very much consistent guenons theories of "vibration"

Why is there a Guénon cult here on /lit/? Can someone explain what it is exactly which is so special about this author? What is so great about his work on metaphysics and symbolism, I have read a couple articles, but the appeal is just lost on me.
