I have a copy of the Canterbury Tales by Chaucer but it's a modern English translation. Is there any point reading it or am I better off getting a Middle English copy? Presumably a lot of the rhyme will be lost with a translation, but I imagine I'll miss things if I read the original due to not fully grasping the language
