On a related topic - do you guys have a strategy for optimizing large PDF scans for viewing on an e-reader? My 11th gen. Kindle really struggles navigating a 22 mb pdf document, and saving as optimized/reduced size pdf only netted me 1.5 megabytes and changed absolutely nothing

Do you think there is a dehumanizing aspect of trading? You have to sell items at a profit and treat everyone as a customer and not a person who perhaps shares your interest and tastes (let alone a friend). This is a question I have for everyone who engages in retail commerce, but made even more pertinent as you sell books. Always thought it must be alienating to some extent

I've read Industrial Society and its Future and think it contains some accurate observations about modern society. How much do the books on the OP expand on his ideas, and are they worth reading?

I can't tell if this is a good thing or not. You get to read accounts that you can relate to ("I'm not alone in the world!") but at the same time it likely offers no solution to (nor any insight about) any of your problems... so, why not just read the optimists instead? At least your outlook won't be bleaker at the end of the day
