His writing is very baroque, intentionally grandiose and purple. It has a heavy, Biblical, McCarthy-esque quality with a bit of dark sarcasm. Certainly not for everyone, but those of us who love it, really love it.

I enjoy Malazan, Dune, Wolfe, Tolkien of course, and yes, even Martin (the first three books of GoT only). I also read a wide array of other literature and post in many other threads. I just enjoy Bakkerposting because it's so entertaining and memeable. If you've read all the books and understand all the references, the Bakkerposting is purely delightful.

That doesn't mean I don't talk about other authors in this thread. Sanderson is genuinely and obviously a hack who writes YA anime schlock, however.
