You're reading linearly not foundationally. To understand more about politics you don't read more politics. To know how addition works you don't do x+y up to infinity. You'll never understand it and simply take axioms. Read a different book.

honestly, it depends. If your only interest is literature/fiction, I'd say no, it is not worth the read.

If you are on college and/or you study a lot of textbooks, then is it worth the read? Probably.

I read it only with literature in mind, and I got very little applicable knowledge from it, and in between useful/interesting topics, there were way too much useless parts that I had to force my way through.

They're good for light fiction but terrible for study. It's hard to retain things you listen to because you can't easily skim forward or look back, reread, or check notes. Of course you can't underline or highlight anything either.

Hey /lit/izens

what do women read? I want to give my sister a book for Christmas but I have no idea what I want to give her, mind you she finds Ishmael difficult to grasp and understand but she is the greatest and sweetest person you'll ever find and I want to give her the joy of reading. My sister also just got out of a long term relationship so any book that can deal with that would be great.

Why would I ever want to put this much effort into a single book?
