I don't think I had to read one Norwegian book in high school. I read Lord of the Flies for English, but that's all I remember.

To be honest I never really thought Norwegian was a good language to read/write in, it just feels awkward. To me English is much more evocative.
Plus our guys put their effort into crushing untrve plebs instead of literature.
