So just as the red herring-driver takes the blue tail and the red herring-walker takes the green tail, the blue herring-driver takes the yellow tail and the blue herring-walker takes the orange tail. The green herring-driver does not take the orange tail as we may expect, but instead takes the red tail, and likewise the green herring-walker does not take the red tail, but instead takes the orange tail. This conflict of interest for 900000 years delayed the creation of any shades of herring-itinerant besides the eternal red, blue and green, and the so-called "herring triary" remained locked in place for that entire span of time. Finally, the duodecimatic paradigm was broken, and up to 16777204 new shades were discovered. It would however be another chaotic few millennia before either of the sparring herring-itinerants (blue and green walkers) would agree to shift, but finally the latter conceded, and the orange tail problem was solved forever. Upon the very next day of that peace, the yellow driver and yellow walker both manifested themselves.
Nowadays of course, we enjoy a pantheon of over 27 itineraries, with more manifesting every season.
