All "democracy" (near meaningless term) functions entirely on brainwashing. American and Anglo elites realized this after the economic crises of the 1870s and seamlessly transitioned to fully self-conscious propaganda regimes. The western ones operate through corporate cronyist oligarchy, the Bolshevik one operated through party apparatchiks. Both result in the same stagnant oligarchy you see everywhere today. That's why neoconservatism and neoliberalism converge on a single cronyist uniparty in all western states, and 20th century Marxism was simply what Piccone called "red capitalism."

The one form of regime that tried to do something different was the fascist regime, because instead of viewing its citizens as inert material to be broken down and manipulated at will, it viewed them as natural organisms whose health promotes the health of the state and vice versa in a dialectical relationship.

Also worth looking into, Werner Sombart (German socialism), Maurice Bardèche and Robert Brasillach (third position fascism), José Antonio Primo de Rivera (falangism). And many others. Look into the Cercle Proudhon, Sorel, and national syndicalism in general.

Depending how extreme left you are, you may be more of a National Bolshevist or "beefsteak Nazi" (like Rohm and the pre-1934 SA), but a lot of those guys tend more totalitarian. It may be strange to hear but one of the things that often distinguishes a sincerely socialist fascist from an out and out extreme Stalinist is their attitude toward totalitarianism. As a fascist you have natural faith in the spontaneous health of organic communities, which is a fancy way of saying you think that nations and "peoples" tend to meet you halfway in keeping them healthy if you just give them a chance. This can be the missing puzzle piece for a socialist trying to figure out how to "engineer" society to be healthy (e.g., capital-free). You can be a fascist and still admire many elements of paleoconservative, high tory, and even libertarian beliefs. As Bardèche says somewhere, fascism is an extreme reaction of a nation to dangers and depredations, not its normal state.

If you want a really interesting approach, look at Piccone's Telos journal, which was a Gramscian post-left journal that gradually approached rapprochement with disaffected French third positionists under Alain de Benoist in its 1993-1994 issue.

You don't have to buy into race theory bullshit to acknowledge that Jews are a dangerous fifth column involved in all sorts of deracination and class consciousness suppression, e.g. their fetish for the mixing of races and the dilution of cultures.

Like any other fifth column embedded in government and high society, their assets should be nationalized and they should be barred from positions of influence, and ultimately encouraged to leave. They have a country, which Joe Sobran rightly remarks is already a state socialism. They can go there.
