What book of his have you read? I read In the Miso Soup and didn't find great stuff...

Just finished reading this book. Call me crazy but the ending made me well up a bit. This whole time you are shown the sleazy side of Japan and how this American just wanted sex, then the world flip a in a single moment because of some obnoxious stupid japanese twat, and it is brought together from all of it fallen apart to an explanation and a departure. I almost didn't want to finished this book. I wanted to leave off when they were at the bridge.

I can to some degree understand Frank though. While I never killed anyone or did anything that's mentioned in the book, I didn't have any friends. Anyone who I did try to be friends with ended up either leaving me or just disappeared. Or I distanced myself from them to avoid hurting them or because I didn't want to be hurt.

TL;DR I recommend this book. It is a trip that I absolutely enjoyed and it was fucking great. 10/10 would go to Japan to set a bum on fire and kill some high school whore.

Just finished reading In the Miso Soup by Murakami. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've read Audition and Almost Transparent Blue by him as well.

I've been reading a bit of Ryu Murakami lately and and enjoying his novels.

Not quite sure what to think of this one though. Anyone else read Ryu Murakami?
