I hope that the right has finally figured out that you don't win by being 'correct' or adhering to principles or some abstract set of rules like a high school debate, you win by seizing power at any cost.

You seize it, you use it to beat your enemies every which way and you ignore them when they kvetch and keep seizing more power and beating them more. When they cry 'hypocrisy' you know you're winning because 'hypocrisy' is what losers say. 'Hypocrisy' is the last cry of the desperate. It's what we said for years because we were losing. But do you stop there? No! You beat them some more. So-called conservatives who defend the liberal-democratic-globalist establishment get beatings too.

Hypothetically, let's say /lit/ was in charge of putting together an officer corps for a new country's armed forces. What would /lit/ require each officer to read?

As Clausewitz said, "war is the continuation of politics by other means". For this reason, each officer in this hypothetical military should be well versed in both politics and history, and obviously, each officer should understand warfighting as well. What books accomplish the goal of teaching people the aforementioned subjects?

What is your favorite book from the Greco-Roman era? Hard mode, no Plato, Aristotle, Zeno, or Aurelius
