/lit/ I need some assistance.

I'm going to skip the reason why I need this, since it's boring, but the reason I can't find it myself is because I'm clueless when it comes to philosophy and trying to answer this particular question puts me in a dense jungle of very very heavy philosophical texts. Which will take me days to work through, while one of you might answer it within several seconds.

It seems there is some idea that the mind is “self-contained” with respect to the (I'm assuming material?) world. Also it is something Wittgenstein tries to disprove (or his ideas just oppose it or something, I have no idea).

Can anyone tell me who wrote about this and what the text is where this idea is introduced?

If I could, I'd suck your dick for an answer to this, it's seriously that important for me, but...

Postulate: Ludwig Wittgenstein is a shallow idiot other shallow wannabe-deep idiots appreciate.
Further remarks: I've came to this conclusion by reading 2 of his books, tractutus logico philosoetc and remarks on the foundations of mathematics. Mostly boring stuff that is illegible.
