Every 14 year old boy should read this book. I did. Might have caused some trauma, but is a good read.

Post the worst book you've ever had the displeasure of reading.

This was just awful.

I loved this book. I told everyone I was reading Crime and Punishment though, because I felt a little guilty.

Does anyone have an excerpt of the orgy scene at the end of It?

So why does Literature get away with shit you can't do in other media?
For example, in Stephan King's It, a girl character has sex with all the male character when they are 10-12 or whatever. If that was in the movie version people would have flipped their shit.
Is it just that people don't read?

So. I re-read "IT" for the first time in about a decade (First read it 2002).

Is there any answer to why Pennywise says "They float down here".

Is it just something IT found amusing. Or is it actually connected to something. Like The state your in when your consumed by the death lights?

So I've just finished Stephen King's It.

7/10

Not terrible by any stretch of the imagination but it falters quite badly in the last act of the book. The ending feels quite rushed and just a bit over dramatic. I don't understand why at some point the main antagonist ended up having to be a pregnant alien space spider from the end of super dark blacken-verse.

It might be worth a quick re-read in a few years. I just wish King had been able to keep up the pacing and quality in the first part of the book.

Also the interludes were quite boring. I understand the need to establish a history for Derry but in my mind they really destroyed the pacing.

Apparently the book has just been picked up to be made into a 2-part movie. I'll probably end up seeing it.

Thoughts on the book? King in general?

I'm trying to get the "IT Study Guide" from bookrags.com, and i think to my pirating self that "well fuck, i'll just pirate it"
>my suprise when it cannot be found on the internet
>my face when noone else can find it on the internet
>my penis when not everything can be found

Can /r find it, or is it that efter 22 years on the internet, something finally can't be obtained?

I would otherve really apreciate some kind of well written essay about the writing style and etx. on IT by King, thanks.

/lit/ I need your help. For those who have read "It" by Stephen King only. All others disregard. I DL'd the audiobook from Demonoid and there are 778 seperate sections. They are all numbered obviously. I listened to the first hour or so and was a little confused so i looked up the synopsis on Wikipedia to gain a better understanding but the problem is what I read and the Wiki didn't match up. The first part in which George gets his arm torn off matches up but then it jumps to the investigation of the two homos who were killed (Sorry, not very good with names) and then after it explained their sentences, it jumped to the two Jewish kids and ended after the woman discovers the husband dead in the bathtub after slitting his wrists. This seems to jump around too much and doesn't match up with the Wiki. Is this really the order in which the book is or did the audiobook get fucked up when i downloaded it?
