Hey man, I promise you're doing alright, and there is still hope. Not everything needs to happen when you're young and dumb; in fact, your age and more developed brain will help you make better decisions and have a more fulfilling relationship. The best advice I can give you is to be more active. When you are busy, you won't have time to sit and be horny.

It's perfectly normal to be socially anxious, and it isn't fair of people to assume you can just walk up to random people and make small talk; however, it is absolutely necessary that you push yourself into situations where you have to interact with other people. There will be embarrassing moments, awkward silence, etc., but you will grow more comfortable with the ups and downs of social interaction. Since you are on a literature board, I recommend volunteering at a local library. There should be some good opportunities, libraries serve has hubs for community events.

Once you build one or two relationships, more will come - connections lead to connections and then soon enough you'll find yourself gravitating toward new friend groups, new opportunities, and new experiences. I believe in you anon.

Where do I get started with Marxism? Should I just read Das Kapital? Is it better to start with the Communist Manifesto? Or is there some other works I should read first?

Also, there's a shitload of splinter-ideologies, leninism, stalinism, etc etc. as well things like syndicalism. How do I go about dealing with these?

What are some books on changing your unconscious? Preferably something practical and verifiable through personal experimentation.

Honestly, the "ease" with which so-called beautiful women live is an illusory sort of ease. Especially today, women are increasingly trapped in a kind of toxic, social media aestheticism. It's an easy rise up the social ladder, but it's an illusory ladder, at the top of which is nothing. This sort of life is obviously open to beautiful men as well. But the force of this illusion, of this aesthicism in men, is much weaker than in the case of women because it is fuelled by female rapaciousness rather than male rapaciousness, which is the more abundant sexual power.

But this illusory status that these women achieve is not solely the result of male rapaciousness, but most surprisingly male jealousy. This is the unacknowledged cause of the disproportionate number of male-to-female transgender persons. Some men, usually those that fail to achieve the masculine ideal, see these women and are struck with such jealousy, at their apparently "easy lives", that they want to become such women. They wish their own lives were so easy. But not only that: most disturbingly, these men want to become not any women, not even just beautiful women, but OBJECTIFIED women. They want to be stared at, desired, thrown about, penetrated, violated, trampled, extinguished--and by who? Their male betters, the so-called "Chads" that actually lived up to the masculine ideal and are not mere spectators in this uniquely 21st-century aestheticism.

So what can we conclude of men that want to know, feel, become beautiful women? That they want to be penetrated by their male betters. That is to say, that OP is a faggot.

That picture is the most real thing I have seen in a long long time. Honestly. From discovering at 16 that life has no meaning to browsing /gif/ for hours on end, to browsing obscure blogspot sites for bootleg Tram-Pararam pictures to unintentionally convincing everyone that I know that I'm trans even though I'm not, I have lived that story. It's been a long journey of recovery, from intermittent no-fap to reading The Old Man and the Sea (the greatest book of all time in my opinion) I have come to see that I am not a girl and that's okay, despite what the Zog will tell you. It's a confusing world, but I try to remember that we're all made of star stuff and that's okay too.

I'm not really asking for specific book recommendations here.

I met a girl at a party tonight. She was considering going into English at university and wanted me to provide her with a reading list for her to go through in her gap year.
She ended up giving me a phone number and saying i should just message her a list (she wanted to do it over facebook but im not on there)
I was going to offer her one book from each significant movement in literature. I figured this would stoke her interests more.
She kept pronouncing "nihilism" as "neil-ism" and didnt really get the concept but coyld be promising given the right encouragement.
I dont want to bang her, I'm in a good relationship. And I don't really care what she thinks of me. I just like encouraging people to get into my chosen field.

What sort of list should I provide this girl? Im torn between a "survey" type list with a bit from every era or the stereotypical "lit starter kit" type list.

Anyone else living the /lit/erary lifestyle?

>Drowning in student debt
>Unhappiness is interrupted only by depression
>Only read classics and contemn pop fiction
>Spend hours in cafes writing or reading, watching people and sighing
>Romances never last more than a few weeks
>Sustained by the hope of seeing works published, knowing that it won't bring happiness
>Fluctuate between fantasies of an ideal gay relationship and suicide, lacking the courage for both
>Living in repulsive places for the sake of the writing
>No friends because no one reads or listens to Beethoven
>Genuine laughter is as rare as an acceptance for publication

This is it boys. Is suicide imminent? I'll probably keep grinding for few more years, not sure what can happen after that. Maybe get myself sent to prison, or find a comfy, obese woman to marry and lead an adulterous existence for a while. Is it possible to keep your standards high when you know it's all vanity?

Who else is living for the sake of their ideals?

Getting a girlfriend and losing my virginity was better than I imagined. Other than having some performance anxiety for a bit, it was really nice. Just turned 21.

The gf is cute, really nice, kinky, and super loyal. Feeling great these last few weeks.
