Look at him! He is all goofy and nice and then he writes some fucked up shit like Naked Lunch! What the Hell is even going on in this Book? Is there some Background information important to understand that book? Or does anybody understands that book at all?

I understand that Naked Lunch was a landmark piece of literature for its time in the sense of it pushing the boundaries of "unacceptable literature" and the court case and all but come on, Nova Express fucking sucked. Naked Lunch had very little literary value.

Kerouac was great. Ginsberg had some good stuff but was overrated. Snyder is a corporate clone. Can we at least agree that Burroughs was important only for his contextual relevance?

I just bought Burroughs "Naked Lunch" and "Junkee" in a very cheap street market. What should I expect?
