The problem with much of analytic philosophy is that the rampant scientism leads people to essentially publish gibberish in the guise of puzzle solving. People think they're contributing to science or to knowledge but they're really playing pointless games of made up chess in their mind. With that being said, I still like to read analytic philosophy, specially some of the more acclaimed papers and books. But if you let yourself be convinced by Anglo autism that something like Kierkegaard's ethical views are incompatible because he was "obscurantist" or any other such bullshit, I'll fight you to death. I mean, just look at many of the metaphysical claims put forward but the Kripkean crowd and tell me this is not high order mysticism couched in logic? I don't know, restricting oneself to one of these "sides" (a terminology basically created by stupid Anglos anyway) is a sign of midwettery. Plus, a lot of analytic philosophy is either pointless for matters pertaining to the social sphere since a lot of it is mentalistic in nature or denies the existence of any sort of holism.

Let's be really frank here. The humanities are a joke subject, and no government or private institution should have to offer it for free or at a subsidy. Literature is a deeply personal thing, and literary analysis is useless as a field of research. Fight me on this.
