Live without working in whichever way you can. Rent a small studio apartment somewhere. Drink and smoke and walk around.

Optional: Read and write.

Hello /lit/, i´m looking for some good comedy literature; something that will lighten up my spirit and put me into a good mood before i go to sleep, or.. whenever i feel like reading of course.

Any suggestions? Authors, titles?

Some of you read books, some of you scribble, but relatively few of you live the godly bohemian flaneurist otium of the people literary life.

Why don't you walk the walk? Of course no one is going to value literature if its readers live just like your average prole. You need to showcase your splendour.

>Really? Doesn't oblomovitis get in the way of that comfy feel though?
The only thing wrong about Oblomov's ways is that he didn't keep his health and finances in order, other than that it seems like the GOAT lifestyle.

>the odds are overwhelmingly in your favour
>you will most likely never have to work ever again
>you probably will live a quiet life engaging with the arts and other proper otium activities as you please, funded by the government and the workers
>after a general education and a humanities degree you did out of pure interest you retire into unemployment contently, continuing your studies independently to your every whim
>you will spend all your time doing exactly as you please, with all the time in the world to write and getting your work to others is easier than ever before in the history of humanity
>you will die knowing that not only your close fiends and loved ones cared, but also great people from all over the world who you've communicated with beyond the bounds of culture, country and oceans in a joyful cry from mountain to mountain in our post-geographical era that unites all those who wish to be united in spirit
>every little thing you ever did will quiver through the stringlords of spacetime forever, the consequences of your actions being an irremovable part of the unfolding of the universe itself

Does you want to go for a beer or work on your short story some more or praise brahman for his eternal glory that is us and everything /lit/?

I'm on (European) welfare and I kick it all day every day. It's seriously the best possible life I can imagine apart from draining a family fortune, I'd recommend it to anyone who is of the idle persuasion.

That's nice and all, but I have already arrived. The state funds my ideal lifestyle and I'm free to do exactly what pleases me without any notion of utility.

Valuable advice for people in uncivilised countries though.
