Man returns home from serving Israel overseas and finds his wife pregnant with another man's child.
He loses everything in the divorce, including his house and his beloved pet pige, and it set on a spiral of depression, alcoholism, and rage.
The rage grows and starts being directed against women in general instead of just his ex wife.
It is left ambiguous in the ending if he gets his life back on track and moves on or does something really violent.

I want to start reading about existentialism because I like Dostoyevsky, Kierkegaard and Nietzsche, what do I need to understand and who do I read so Kierkegaard and Nietzsche don't go over my head?

Is existentialism a way around the rationalism and empiricism arguments?
