Read this book. Obviously there's an attrition rate for every religious household but the retention rates are high enough to facilitate an increase of religiosity. The fastest growing groups in the US are Mormons and Amish. In Amish households they have a phase called "wandering", where the children are allowed to go out into the modern world and then choose between staying with their communities or becoming modernised. 90% choose to stay with their communities. In other groups the attrition rate is perhaps higher but that's just one example of a religious community which will continue to grow.

That's a terrible argument. Atheists have 1 child on average. The atheist fertility rate is below replacement rate. Catholics happen to have 2.5 children on average, but these are normie Catholics. The traditionalist Catholics have 6+ on average. As long as the retention rate of these households stays ahead of the attrition rate, we will see religiosity growing.

After WW2, the invention of all sorts of new technology, the invention of birth control, the feminist sexual revolution, the promulgation of pornography, the civil rights movements, the cold war, and the perceived humiliation of creationists in the science classroom, made religion seem outdated and irrelevant. Lots of people left religion to join the new religion of nihilism and "progress". But now people are realising that hedonistic materialism is hollow, and the new religious movements of our day are not unprepared for the issues of modernity. Remember, the atheists have only been in power for a few generations. In a few more they will be outbred.
