When you gazt long into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. This is the moment when you realize meaninglessness. It's not knowledge, it is a state of consciousness. It is sunnyata for the Buddhists - emptiness. It's not a negative term; in fact it is the gateway of freedom. The illusions of science, religion and even philosophy are, in fact, chains on your consciousness. Freedom of the being is freedom of these bondages.

"Then why do nihilists live? Why don't they just die?" asks people many times. They obviously don't understand what nihilism is about. Dying is an option, not a necessity. While there's no meaning of life, death has also no meaning. You are free to do what you want to do.

Emptiness is also the acceptance the world as it is. No more definitions, philosophies and other artificial ways of understanding. It's the way of purity. Emptiness is not an intellectual black hole, but the real nature of humans (as Taoists say).
