people either hate WoT because its such a big story with so many characters (probably because they have ADD or can't get into a book's atmosphere) or they give it a chance and end up realizing this is the new LOTR of the fantasy world

agreed

OP if you want heroic fantasy read Brandon Sanderson, the guy that's finishing wheel of time, his books are the best yet imo, and his own epic fantasy series Stormlight Archives is fucking awesome, pic related, it has power armor and massive monsters, but that in itself is not the reason you will love the book; if anybody else wrote a book about power armor and monsters it would be cheesy as hell, not this guy

also read Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy if you want some of the best written action scenes, can't go wrong with that

>that Gathering Storm scene from WoT
>that charge against the Shanka from First Law, The last Argument of Kings
>that battle in the dreamworld from WoT
>them battles in Way of Kings and Mistborn

probably the best stories ever written, not just the ideeas but the WAY in which they are written

I hope to see at least one of the above become a feature movie

I hope it wasn't in that order.

Anyway I recommend The Way of Kings for you too, or the Black Company Chronicles
