/lit/ - Literature

Would you be insterested in a user voted chart of /lit/'s top 100 characters in literature?
You know, Captain Ahab, Jean Valjean, Edmond Dantes, etc.
I was thinking of some rules, like 10 nominations per vote and a limit of 3 characters per book/series.
It could also include groups of people and small organizations like Les Amis de l'ABC, the Chums of chance or The Muskeeters.
The main rule would be to only fiction, of course. Historically fiction characters allowed but mainly fiction and fictionalized characters.
Is this a good idea? Maybe people are getting tired of surveys and such so we could do it in thread format, just by posting and ignoring obvious spam.
