You know, I thought I was above this whole "getting lonely" thing. I was convinced I was capable of rejecting the needs and urges that normalfags are subject to and becoming some based redpilled schizo mystical wizard type who takes joy only in his own interests and studies and has no need of outside comforts. It's kind of funny to think about.
This hurts. Getting older all alone is painful. The temptation to give up on life gets stronger every year. I don't know how anyone makes it to old age like this.

Ugly bastard here.
I'm so fucking lonely, bros.
>woman brushes against my shoulder on public transit
>instant boner
>have 5-minute-long strictly business-related conversation with a girl from a different department of my employer
>fantasize an entire life with her
>see couples playing with their kids at a local park
>can almost physically feel the time in which I can meet someone and have a family slipping through my fingers

>had another dream about seeing my sister naked
This happens at least once a week, sometimes more, and I'm tired of it.

I think it's worthless to study aesthetics independently as it necessarily succeeds metaphysics. You need a strong understanding of both Plato (everything, but Ion and Symposium particularly) and Aristotle (Metaphysics and de Anima). Apart from that I would recommend Plotinus, Pseudo-Longinus, Vico, Burke, Kant, Schiller's On the Aesthetic Education of Man, Nietzsche's Birth of Tragedy, and Jacques Burzun's The Use and Abuse of Art, (a personal favourite). I explicitly avoid Marxist social critique, whose social view of art I fundamentally disagree with, so that eschews a lot of leftist works like George Lukacs and Adorno and most of 20th century academic philosophy in the field. Also been meaning to read Heidegger's Origin of Work. Hope this helped.

>What do you read if at all?
Currently struggling through the Enneads along with the reading group, also plan to read the Brothers Karamazov soon. I would like to be able to read and understand Hegel and the phenomenologists eventually but I have a long way to go before I get to that level.
>What do you write if at all?
Occassionally I'll write random prose or poetry in these threads. Other than that the last things I wrote were guro fanfics on /jp/.
>What do you smoke if at all?
Nothing
>What do you drink if at all?
Nothing
>What caffeine do you take if at all?
Cactus flavor Semtex
>What drugs do you take if at all?
Nothing
