Tough, but I'll try.

Despite lacking in every conceivable area I'll make it.

It's an interesting book and somewhat fun fanfic that goes into some of L's previous cases. The ending of the book kinda hits you as a surprise and the character description is well done imo. The book is written somewhat poorly. Wasn't very smooth and felt like the writing was choppy. Usually when I read a book, even if I dislike it, I am able to read it smoothly and not lose attention too soon, but the writing and prose of this book was clearly written by an amateur. I'm a rookie book reviewer and think that the book was written well enough to be published. I'm not saying the book had bad grammar or punctuation but it did feel rather... chunky is the best way I can phrase it although there were times when the writing very was good.
Over all a 3 out of 5. Maybe less but anything deathnote related or has interesting characters that have special skills and are able to make me think I'm a sucker for. It was also gruesome at times.

So yeah 3/5 actually I think it would be easier if I rated it out of 10. In that case a low 5/10
