Every emotion simultaneously.
It's an expression I consider to be the polar opposite to this one.
This expression is an excellent representation of enlightenment. It's a look that's both clueless and savvy. Like she knows everything the viewer or interlocutor is thinking, but also has no idea what she is thinking about it. Knowing and unknowing all at once.
I think that's why its so hilarious to look at and also captivating in a way that's similar to the Mona Lisa. The same way the Mona Lisa's eyes seem to follow you, Marisa's expression is pointed at everyone who looks at it.

Agni's expression is completely emotional, utterly emotion. So chock full that it becomes difficult to definitely discern what it's meant to convey. But you CAN attach emotions to it, smugness, depression, anxiety, madness, fear, happiness. See, with Marisa's face it's impossible to attach any particular emotion like that. At best you could whittle it down to clueless AND knowing, leading you to the conclusion that it is a transcendental expression.
