Subahibi is pretty /lit/, would definitely recommend. Its a hell of a ride. Honestly I think the medium has so much storytelling potential, it sucks that its kind of dying and mostly reserved for pornography. I always thought it would be cool if some classic novels had VN adaptations.

VNs are different. They're like a video game where all you do is read and make decisions. As for Monogatari, apparently Nisio Isin's writing can be really good at times. But you're reading a translation of a series that relies heavily on Japanese wordplay, kanji and puns. Of course its gonna be shit in English.
