There only other 13.3" readers are the Sony DP and the dervied Fujitsu Quaderno and Quirklogic Papyr.
The Sony and Fujitsu are specialized for pdf note taking while the Quirklogic is for collaborative working. Neither can handle epubs or other formats.
Another 13.3" device is the Dasung Paperlike which is a monitor with no standalone functionality.

The only real alternative to the Max Lumi as a reader are its predecessors. The Max 3 has Android 9 instead of the Lumi's 10, no front light and somewhat worse specs for CPU, RAM and storage. It is lighter due to the lack of front light.
