/hislit/ thread. Anybody currently reading nonfiction history?

I'm reading right now about Otto von Bismarck. An interesting note from Taylor: apparently after sorting out the Franco-German war in 1871, Bismarck retired from Versailles by stealing the table on which the peace was signed. He didn't pay for it, nor ask permission.

Currently reading Bismarck by AJP Taylor. It's a bit of a hard read, desu. Not sure that I like the prose, or Taylor's angle. Sometimes I don't get through more than 20 pages in a day.

I also found a copy of Eyck's Bismarck. Not sure if I'm going to read it right after or save it for another time.

A few days ago I found Taylor's Bismarck, and just today I found Eyck's Bismarck. What kind of luck is that?
