>I'll probably get memed into it but is it good?
The first volume has been rewritten recently to bring the story up to quality. It's certainly a unique story, a solid epic fantasy full of slice of life and warcrimes, with lots of of humor, inspired by Warhammer universe and set in a fantasy world resembling D&D. The story gets bigger and more intense with each volume.

Some people hate it, some people love it. I myself have started loving it around Volume 4 and consider it one of the best stories I've read in my life. You simply need to experience it for yourself to make judgment. Not every day you read epic fantasy where the protagonist is an Inkeeper

TWI really is that good, but I recommend starting with Dungeon Crawler Carl if you want to read Cradle as it releases. I'd generally say DCC is an easier read considering TWI's length, so try TWI after you finish Dreadgod.

Whether you like The Wandering Inn or not depends what you want to read, it's not a typical progression fantasy or LitRPG, more like an Epic Fantasy with a lot of Slice of Life elements accompanied with 'Larger Than Life' events, LitRPG is just a flavour. The author's major inspirations were books like The Wheel of Time or Warhammer universe, so expect a mix of that, but written in a 'modern' way.

Note about starting The Wandering Inn now, the author is currently doing a rewrite of the first volume, so I advise to wait a few months before trying it out. You can of course read it now, but the writing is not up to the level the story is now as the author was an amateur back then in 2016. If you don't care about amateurish writing, go read it, otherwise wait until it's polished.

>Far enough. Had a discussion earlier this year here. To keep it short, the author is afraid to follow through with the threats and consequences. Eren is not a character anymore but the authors device for things to happen. Some examples would be the topic of Goblins. Erens position is understandable. But she is wrong, and the people who actually lived with the threat of these little monsters suffered enormously. Eren changing they minds should not be simple, and for most cases, it should be simply impossible.
>Another example would be that nobody dies when they 100% should die. Calruz, the blue fairy or the one ant. The fantastic worldbuilding suffers from that, and i had to drop it at some point. Still a shame, it could have been the best litrpg story out there.

Not the OP, but despite being extremely good TWI does suffer from many flaws, lack of real continuity and consequences being one of the larger ones. I guess the author is simply somewhat insane, as a person writing so much would. Like a greedy Dragon, Pirateaba hoards characters and hisses at anyone trying to take any of them away. It probably for the best that you dropped it at some point, as Volume 8 broke a lot of readers, at least that's how it looked to me. Pirateaba seems to have some compulsion to manically create new character and plots, and now at Volume 9 it appears the story mignt not be able to realistically deal with a lot of that without stretching even more. I do trust Pirateaba to solve the problems in some way, but at the same time I'm losing hope they are mentally capable of trimming the cast, or even considering these things as problems.

Current: The Wandering Inn, I'm like halfway through the fourth volume which I understand is like halfway through the story so far.
I'm really liking it but starting to feel burnt out, trying to catch up with a webnovel that's been going on for years in a couple weeks isn't the smartest idea.

Planning: LotR. I've only recently seriously gotten into fantasy, used to read sci-fi exclusively for the longest time, so I've never really read the books, just The Hobbit when I was a kid and I really enjoyed that at the time, so looking forward to it.

I mean, I kinda like her being all bubbly and a bit airheaded but
>she was just 'pretending' all along
I feel like this is already being slightly implied when she remembers her home and family and stuff, she forces herself to cheer up and put on a smile at times
I don't know if this is what her character development will revolve around, but I honestly can't see myself hating her in the future books
