How are there so many successful streamers when they all do the same shit?

It's a mystery

It's three books but the Lyonesse trilogy

I've done a 2 month voyage and I sometimes miss the isolation that comes with an ocean crossing. There's a sense of calm in just how small and focused your world is

See, I'd always thought I hadn't made a sincere connection because I was fundamentally flawed and people could "smell" my poor personality or mental illness or whatever... I hadn't considered it's because I have had "weird" and niche interests since I was young, initially inherited from my grandparents and parents then cultivated online and in the far corners of libraries and events.

I cannot name more than 4 sports ball teams from my country, I know nothing about TV and only know a scattering of contemporary references, I'm a fucking alien. If my ex didn't know who Pepe the frog was we would have glanced off each other with nothing to exchange beyond the same generic pleasantry script I go through, afraid that I will be thrown into the roughly hewn, naive freakazoid category upon any reveal of what I really enjoy (no I'm not a paedo or anything like that).

Saddest is when I meet someone who has similar interests, but not quite specific enough, and I can feel us almost being able to connect but their aspirations and integration to normalcy run deeper and I freak them out and get classed as subnormal.

Makes it hard to parse whether I am rejected for common interests or personality and spirit, which area I need to work on if I don't want to be lonely for the rest of my life. It's not looks that repel, as I'm fairly good looking and confident - people greet me and give me a great chance to make a lasting bond, and within minutes of conversation I reveal what a ghoul / misshapen thing I am to them and they withdraw, often visibly switching off their brains when they talk to me. It happens so frequently it's disconcerting when someone actually pays attention to what I say after the 5 minute mark. Dunno if it's because I'm tiresome, unlikeable and dull or another reason.

Thanks for the advice.

No one on /lit/ knows where the answers you need are, and anyone that claims to know is a fool not to be trusted

If Atomic Habits seems like it might be helpful then just start reading it, else you risk entering into a different form of procrastination: delaying action under some pretext. Start reading it. If it doesn't seem helpful try a different book

I'm reading Long Sun at the moment and overall I'm enjoying it more than New Sun. Silk's a great protagonist, the struggle for Viron is interesting and all the supporting cast feel well utilised

I read so much yet I hardly get any books finished. I used to read multiple books at the same time and that was the reason why; however now I'm better at having one main book, and yet I still only finish a book once every month or so. I think I'm still spending too much time online, reading too many articles & browsing FB and 4channel instead of focusing on my current book.
I still have one book on the backburner I need to quickly finish as well.
