Just finished reading this series.
Also loved Gulliver's Travels and liked Candide.
Any similar books I can read?

Living in BR makes it awful to order good literature. I'm having to import most good stuff. While I wait for Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency to arrive, this entire collection is quite cheap in here, is it good? I remember all the hype back then, but putting that aside, are the series any good?

OP to answer first
>1. How often do you read?
I try to read one or two books a week, I usually read closer to 2 every other week
>2. How long does it take you to finish a book that is about 250 pages?
I try to spend all day dedicated to one book, as long as it takes but around 6-8 hours
>3. Weird things you do while reading
I have a big glass of some tasty iced tea or lemonade that I can only drink when I finish a chapter as an incentive/reward.
>4. Favorite Genre; Author?
I like reading funny things or books that deal with depressed characters. Right now I've been digging Douglas Adams a lot.
>6. Top 3 books?
1. Hitchhikers guide 2.The Stranger 3.The Catcher in the Rye
>7. Other Hobbies
Reading Comics, Listening to music, Collecting toys, Going to NYC (live on Long Island)
>8. When did you start reading frequently
When I was 7-13 I read all the time whatever I could get my hands on, got a kindle at 18 and it got me back into reading
>9. Ever go a long period of time without reading?
About 5 years I should clarify as without reading in spare time

I'm nearly finished Mostly Harmless and was wondering what people think about "And Another Thing.." I know it's not written by the same author, so I'm not sure how canon it is.

Also what does /lit/ think of the Guide in general?

Is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy /lit/ approved? I've never seen it mentioned on here.

What does /lit/ think about this?
