Daoism had a huge influence on the development of Buddhism. You can find many references to "the way" in Buddhist texts through the ages, used synonymously with the concepts of with enlightenment, unity and oneness. I suppose you ignore all of the Vedic tradition that laid the groundwork, since that's Hinduism right?
