About halfway through this and I like it so far (definitely better than those Ligotti stories I read). Though it seems like some of these modern weird fiction writers like to keep the horror/weirdness on the lower end of the spectrum; which I will admitted adds a certain level of realism that other weird/horror fiction might not have by going deeper into the weirdness. For example: the climax of one particular story is a father and his young son seeing a possible apparition through a broken window of a haunted house... and that's it. I liked it though, but talk about extremely low key.
