Nothing wrong with liking the Chinese cartoons but they are a very different medium and their style of dialogue is designed (and subsequently becomes cliche) in service of their own needs, which are not the same as the needs of other media.

I seriously hope you don't believe this. You may not like his style, and you certainly may think that his chosen themes are vapid and bland, but in terms of technical writing ability almost all of his published work self-evidently reads exactly like he wants it to read. He is a good writer.
