It's somewhat long but it isn't hard to read unless you can't pay attention for any length of time.

Has anyone here read this? Any thoughts?

I read it in a recommendation from a lit teacher a few years ago, back in high school, and at first it looked incredibly boring (there are few more boring premises than construction of a cathedral), but the book was actually really interesting - easily one of my favorites now.
