I've masturbated to this book so many times. I've read it 77 times, each time discovering new complexities. Every single page of my copy is marked with findings and annotations. Shit, I meta'd this book so hard I had to break its spine (/lit/erally) and put all the pages in a binder. I've fucking masacrated the plot, the internal semiotics, shit, even characters stood no chance against my inquiries. Niggers, thanks to this book I've obtained various literary skills such as actually counting the time characters spend on talking when moving from point A to B - shit's cray. The afterword? I know it by heart. Eco would be my literary waifu if he was a woman, unfortunately I'm not a faggot, so our relationship is purely platonic. If I was to mark on plebeian decimal scale, "Il nome della rosa" (I've learned fuckng Italian thanks to this book) would score an erection/10.
