I love this movie and I'm getting the book for Christmas, because I've never read a book in my life. Is it any good? Just want to know the consensus on here.

Alright, I know I'm going to get a lot of shit for this, but I'm going to ask anyway. There is literally tons of feminist literature out there, but I'm having trouble finding the male equivalent. In other words, I'm looking for books on masculinity and male identity. The straight white male is probably the most envied demographic in today's society, yet has been casterated by feminism and demonized by tolerance and politocal correctness. Are there any male authors out there who write from this perspective? The only book I could find was Fight Club, which I read and enjoyed, but I'm looking for something deeper.

Just finished reading Fight Club. Excellent book, and as usual, better than the film adaptation.

Hey /lit/, I absolutely love the book Fight Club. I read it before the movie and think they could've done better with the movie. I was wondering if you people on /lit/ could suggest me books like Fight Club or similar to this book.

Chuck Palahniuk is my favorite author, unfortunately I've read all of his work. Any suggestions for similar authors? I've already read a lot of Bret Easton Ellis too, by the way.

I tried, /lit/. I really tried. I spent an afternoon trying to read this. I've had it sitting on my shelf for the past three years collecting dust. I cracked it open and gave it my all.

This novel is garbage. I hate it and I hate its author, and his smug little portrait on the back cover. I feel stupider having read half of the book alone.

I can't be alone on this, right?

You gotta be shitting me. The ST movie had like one good scene (where they're defending that desert outpost from hordes of Bugs) and takes out everything that made the book good, while further butchering it with random love interests.
