I feel like I'm coming to a crossroad with my faith, most of my catholic friends and I too consider myself a catholic participate or have participated in extra marital sex. I desire it but also I wonder too if it does go against Jesus's teachings. I read the bible and I don't recall Jesus specifically saying anything about extra marital sex. I also question that if the reign of the catholic church is at time going against what God wanted and that if the papacy is more in line with the story of ezra/nehemiah, I was raised Catholic and am grateful for everything the Catholic church has taught me but how do I know if there were/are false prophets within it?

I believe in God and i was told faith was belief in that which can't be proven. I would like to know in your opinion the difference between believing in God vs knowing God. I consider myself a catholic and have read up to and including the song of Solomon in the bible so I do plan on finishing reading the bible and I know Christianity is based more on the new testament.

I also go to church and receive communion. Is it searching for truth in everything or what?

Romans 1:24-27

I have found meaning and i consider myself to be a christian but I have a hard time coming to terms with this one. Why does God forbid homosexuality? what harm does it do to others? I want to spread the word but I don't know what i'd say when asked of this.

I was reading Matthew 6 and I was wondering if it was a sin to pray in your car or talk to people of what you pray about or for. what is the extent of praying in private, what of praying in church?

So sometimes i read the bible and i think lustful thoughts about someone I know, is this a sin?
