Is there really any point in debating anymore? All you have to do to make your opponent's argument null is to greentext and wojak what they say? Do people really go toastmasters and learn to debate? Just wojak and greentext.

It's been fine so far. Just have to study for the GRE and and get everything else I need together. But I haven't ran into any issues as of yet.

Some tips
If you look around online you can find the best universities that are more focused on what you're interested in. On forums people make recs to point you in the right direction.
Look up faculties at universities to make sure there are people there that have the same interests as you.
Have the rankings in mind but don't completely lean on them. Universities that focus on continental philosophy can have placement rates as good as the best universities, just look up data and do lots of research to get a list of possible places together. Unfortunately the ones responsible for the most well known rankings have a bias that leave out universities where employment prospects are as good as the best places because they have preconceptions of what the subject is supposed to be like, ignoring all the forms of it in its history. But what's funny is I'm sure their absence from ranking means less applications, meaning higher odds of acceptance.
You don't want to study somewhere for a masters that never got anyone to a university in the last 10 years for their PhD, nor do you want to do a PhD at a place where the tenure prospects don't look good.

As of right now that's what I've gathered so far. Just try your best if it's really what you want to do. Make sure to participate in class to make good impressions on your professors (don't make cringe remarks but if you say something sort of interesting it might impressive, don't ever try to up the professor but they'll be more impressed by a good question), show that you have serious intentions (just seeing them in office hours is a good way to do that), study your hardest of course and hone your writing ability. Look up the guides online to writing a philosophy paper. Have the basics down of the structure of a philosophy paper plus show that you've thought deeply about your topic and the As come pretty easy. Good luck anon!
