>An accelerationist attempting to speed up or slow down the process is like ant, or even an entire colony, attempting to stop the flow of molten nickel mid-stream.

Definitely a perspective that has merit.

Though, because I am as drunk as I am, let me ask it bluntly.

Most accelerationists who hold this view are (mostly) materialists. Mostly in the sense that they may suppose a noumenal force/entity is working to accelerate capital (we can't account for the noumenal by definition), but essentially materialist in that they are not idealist (this is matter in motion - self-replicating, self-perfecting machines in motion towards whatever goal they have)..

To what extent does determinism play a role in the accelerationist worldview? If we are matter/atoms in motion, what extent does 'will' play? Is this (should this be?) something that factors into accelerationist thinking?
