What separates the losers from the winners when it comes to succeeding in society?

I think it's the difference between those that accept death and those that run from it in fear. NEETs, true NEETs who love their NEETdom, are not afraid of death. They have nothing to lose to begin with. They occupy their time with their true interests in life, whatever they may be. Wagie's fear death deeply, and try all their lives to forget about it and distract themselves from thinking about it by pursuing careers, families, hobbies etc. All wagies deep down in their souls agree with the NEETs pessimism, but they're too scared to join the NEET. And though a NEET can sometimes force themselves into the wagie's world, they'll never fit in, they'll always be on the outskirts. It's all largely predetermined anyway. A wagie cannot become a NEET and a NEET will never fear like the wagie fears.

The NEET finds the wagie frustrating to deal with, for he sees the light but pursues his false gods anyway. And the wagie finds the NEET thoroughly unforgivable because he reminds the wagie of death and that all his pursuits are merely a distraction from death. When death comes the NEET embraces it like an old friend, the wagie kicks and screams like a newborn baby. Neither is wrong, neither is right. They are who they are and always will be.
