What’s wrong with caring about those things? Would japan be wrong in wanting to protect their culture? Western culture has brought about great things like Greek philosophy, and great art and literature like pic related. It seems worthy to protect.

You do realize that a lot of us gave him a fair chance, right? I loved the first two Stormlight Archive books. I still don't like Brandon Sanderson. The quality of his writing is all over the place. It's like he doesn't even have an editor. The last time I had this experience with a writer was in the 90s with Terry Goodkind. It's not just a matter of being contrarian anon. Brandon Sanderson isn't popular here because people feel like they can freely speak up here. This is something that I personally don't believe is possible on most websites for most topics anymore.
